Following the New York Knicks’ 105-104 win over the San Antonio Spurs<\/a> in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Friday night, ticket prices for Games 3 and 4 at Madison Square Garden skyrocketed.<\/p>\n

The possibility of watching the Knicks win and celebrate their first NBA championship since 1973 in person at Madison Square Garden is becoming more expensive by the minute.<\/p>\n

Game 3 and 4 ticket prices have already doubled<\/p>\n

According to Gametime<\/a>, as of Saturday afternoon, the get-in price for Game 3 was $9,257 after the Knicks’ Game 2 win. On Thursday afternoon<\/a>, the get-in price was $7,142.<\/p>\n

For Game 4, which now could be a championship clincher for the home team, the get-in price is $13,159. That’s up from $7,232 the day before Game 2 was played.<\/p>\n

The most expensive price for Monday’s Game 3, with tickets in the lower bowl, are $$74,652, which is down from $96,997 on Thursday afternoon after reports that President Trump was planning to attend the game<\/a>. For Game 4 on Wednesday, the most expensive seats on the floor at MSG are priced at $112,158.<\/p>\n

By comparison, if the Spurs are able to win a game in New York to force a Game 5 at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio<\/a>, the get-in price is $1,924 with the most expensive seats at $86,892.<\/p>\n

If the series returns to MSG for a Game 6, ticket prices are currently $11,595 to get in and $112,158 at their most expensive. But those rates will surely increase significantly if there’s a chance the Knicks could win the series and NBA championship on June 16.<\/p>\n

In the event of a Game 7 in San Antonio, Knicks fans will probably save money by taking a road trip.
