{"id":755246,"date":"2026-06-07T22:54:16","date_gmt":"2026-06-07T22:54:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/755246\/"},"modified":"2026-06-07T22:54:16","modified_gmt":"2026-06-07T22:54:16","slug":"lakers-linked-to-dalton-knecht-centered-trade-for-15-million-all-rookie-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/755246\/","title":{"rendered":"Lakers linked to Dalton Knecht-centered trade for $15 million All-Rookie center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/nba\/los-angeles-lakers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> held interest in several frontcourt targets earlier this season, but ultimately settled for sharpshooter Luke Kennard.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, the upcoming offseason will give the 17-time NBA champions another chance to pursue forwards\/centers who previously piqued their interest.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/esidery\/status\/2062942557206696192\" rel=\"nofollow\">NBA reporter Evan Sidery<\/a>, the Lakers are expected to essentially re-target a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/nba\/new-orleans-pelicans\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New Orleans Pelicans<\/a> All-Rookie center (2024-25) this summer and could use Dalton Knecht to help them close the deal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Lakers are expected to circle back on trade interest involving Yves Missi,\u201d Sidery wrote on X\/Twitter Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLos Angeles and the (New Orleans) Pelicans had previously discussed during the season a framework of Dalton Knecht and 2nd-round draft capital for Missi.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although Missi\u2019s production with the Pelicans took a hit in Year 2, the Baylor product remains a high-energy, durable big man who\u2019s efficient around the rim and has proven to be a high-upside interior defender in the big leagues.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Missi averaged 5.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game in New Orleans this season, shooting 54.4% from the field in 66 contests.
