The Boston Celtics<\/a> are reportedly among the multitude of teams vying for the services of Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo<\/a>, who has clearly been the most talked-about player in the offseason.<\/p>\n

Antetokounmpo is purportedly insistent on remaining in the Eastern Conference. That should bode well for the Celtics, the Miami Heat<\/a>, the Orlando Magic<\/a>, and the Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Milwaukee is willing to consider any offer, and Boston could find a way to meet the high asking price<\/a> for the two-time MVP, including possibly including All-Star guard Jaylen Brown<\/a> in the package.<\/p>\n

ESPN\u2019s Brian Windhorst, however, was not optimistic<\/a> about the chances of the Celtics landing Antetokounmpo.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have not heard that Boston is on Giannis\u2019 list. I have not heard that Giannis is prepared to sign the extension with Boston. So frankly, the Jaylen Brown part is new to me. If I hear a yes-yes, now, let\u2019s have a discussion,\u201d said Windhorst in an interview with CLNS Media.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy the way, maybe they are true. Just because I haven\u2019t heard it doesn\u2019t mean it\u2019s not true. But until those two things are true, I don\u2019t think it\u2019s really something that\u2019s in the world of reality.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some believe that the 31-year-old Antetokounmpo might be keen on joining Boston because of its status alone as one of the most esteemed franchises in the NBA and its consistent standing as a serious contender.<\/p>\n

There have been whispers that the 29-year-old Brown, who delivered an MVP-type campaign, has grown frustrated with the front office, and the Celtics might ship him. Brown, however, recently reaffirmed his commitment to the squad.<\/p>\n

Antetokounmpo, meanwhile, played a career-low 36 games this season, averaging 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists.<\/p>\n
