NBA superstar James Harden was arrested in Houston on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
The 36-year-old was taken into custody by the Houston Police Department at 3:41 a.m., according to court records obtained by The California Post, and booked on one misdemeanor charge of unlawful carrying weapons.<\/p>\n

Harden, a former Los Angeles Clippers guard who now plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a>, was accused of \u201cunlawfully, intentionally and knowingly\u201d having a handgun in his vehicle, according to a copy of the complaint.<\/p>\n Authorities alleged in the document that \u201cthe handgun was in plain view\u201d and \u201cwas not carried in a holster.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\tSign up for the California Morning Report newsletter\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCalifornia’s top news, sports and entertainment delivered to your inbox every day.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\tThanks for signing up!\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Further details surrounding the allegations against Harden were not made immediately available, though sources told The Post that the basketball player was out a Houston hookah lounge before the arrest with a large group of friends.<\/p>\n Harden was released on bond later Saturday morning, according to records. NBAE via Getty Images<\/p>\n Harden, who was traded from the Clippers to the Cavaliers<\/a> in February in a swap that included Darius Garland, has plenty of ties to Houston.<\/p>\n Following a trade to the Rockets from the Thunder in 2012, Harden played nine of his NBA seasons in the Texas city.
