Don\u2019t tell them you\u2019re not going to have sex, and don\u2019t tell them it was my idea,\u201d Dolan said. \u201cBut let them know what this is going to be like, what your commitment is going to be like.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to SNY, the players \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/14\/sports\/james-dolan-jokingly-told-knicks-players-to-avoid-sex-during-playoffs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">were a little surprised, but the words hit<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They were certainly memorable to at least some of them as Mikal Bridges referenced the no-sex joke during an <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/15\/sports\/mikal-bridges-nsfw-instagram-live-went-off-the-rails-after-knicks-championship\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram live<\/a> on Monday, calling Dolan a \u201csavage\u201d for the gag.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.45661451;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39684402\" width=\"859\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/user-expressly-acknowledges-agrees-downloading-130891959.jpg\" alt=\"New York Knicks owner James Dolan and president Leon Rose lift the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy.\" class=\"wp-image-39684402\"  \/>New York Knicks owner James Dolan and president Leon Rose lift the Larry O\u2019Brien Championship Trophy.
