The Wizards, Magic, and Bucks have finalized a pair of draft-night deals initially reported separately, officially completing them as a single three-team transaction. All three teams announced<\/a> the trade<\/a> in press releases<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wizards acquire the draft rights to Felix Okpara<\/a> (No. 46 pick; from Magic)
\nMagic acquire the draft rights to Izaiyah Nelson<\/a> (No. 51 pick; from Wizards) and cash (from Bucks).
\nBucks acquire the draft rights to Malique Lewis<\/a> (No. 60 pick; from Wizards).<\/p>\n

The Magic initially agreed to trade down from No. 46 to No. 51 while acquiring the 60th overall pick in the process, then almost immediately flipped the No. 60 pick to Milwaukee for cash.<\/p>\n

Okpara emerged as a high-level rim protector and lob threat for Tennessee this year, averaging 1.5 blocks in 26.9 minutes per game and making the SEC All-Defense team. He measured in at 6\u201910\u201d barefoot with a 7\u20192\u2033 wingspan and a 9\u20194\u2033 standing reach, giving him great size for a big man. According to Jake Weingarten of StockRisers.com (Twitter link<\/a>), the Wizards intend to sign Okpara to a two-way contract.<\/p>\n

Nelson was the American Conference\u2019s Player of the Year last season for South Florida as a senior after spending the first three years of his college career at Arkansas State. Speaking after the draft to Jason Beede of The Orlando Sentinel<\/a> about the pick, Magic president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman referred to Nelson as an \u201c\u201doutstanding athlete\u201d and a hard worker.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s tough. He\u2019s a hit-first guy. He\u2019s about self-improvement. He\u2019s about winning above everything else,\u201d Weltman said. \u201cMonster competitor, monster athlete. Just the kind of guy you want to bring into an organization.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lewis, a 6\u20198\u2033 forward from Trinidad and Tobago, spent the last two seasons in Australia playing for the South East Melbourne Phoenix. The 21-year-old appeared in 25 games during the 2025\/26 NBL season, averaging 7.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals in 21.3 minutes per contest.
