Multiples sources with knowledge of the situation tell <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/story\/_\/id\/49177886\/inside-giannis-antetokounmpo-trade-milwaukee-bucks-boston-celtics-miami-heat-nba-offseason\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ramona Shelburne and Jamal Collier of ESPN<\/a> that the Bucks received \u201cat least four\u201d strong bids for Antetokounmpo that \u201cdied on the vine\u201d because he wouldn\u2019t have committed to a long-term deal with the team.<\/p>\n<p>After getting Miami\u2019s and Boston\u2019s final offers for Antetokounmpo on Sunday, the Bucks\u2019 front office debated them on Monday, with one team source telling ESPN that there were \u201cspirited debates\u201d over which path the team should take and that not everyone in the room shared the same opinion.<\/p>\n<p>However, general manager Jon Horst had always liked the concept of the Heat\u2019s proposal, which was one of two he brought to Bucks ownership at the deadline, according to Shelburne and Collier. It got a little stronger this offseason since Miami had the ability to include the No. 13 overall pick, which wasn\u2019t possible in February. Boston, meanwhile, wasn\u2019t willing to include young players like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/gonzahu01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-26_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Hugo Gonzalez<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/scheiba01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-26_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Baylor Scheierman<\/a> in its offer, which helped <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopsrumors.com\/2026\/06\/bucks-to-trade-giannis-antetokounmpo-to-heat.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">tip the scales toward Miami<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few more trade-related notes and rumors from around the league:<\/p>\n<p>Following up on <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopsrumors.com\/2026\/06\/raptors-interested-in-reunion-with-kawhi-leonard.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">a report<\/a> that suggested <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/leonaka01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-26_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kawhi Leonard<\/a> might be open to contract extensions with his former teams \u2013 San Antonio and Toronto \u2013 if he were to be traded to either club, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/nba\/article\/how-much-are-raptors-willing-to-gamble-in-websters-first-solo-off-season\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Michael Grange of Sportsnet<\/a> says the Rockets could be another club on that list. However, there\u2019s no consensus around the league about whether or not he\u2019ll be available this summer, according to Grange, who hears from one source that the Clippers absolutely won\u2019t trade the star forward but says others believe the two sides are ready to part ways.<br \/>\nSources who have spoken to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/marcstein.substack.com\/p\/the-nbas-latest-trade-and-free-agency-ebd\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Marc Stein and Jake Fischer of The Stein Line<\/a> (Substack link) say that the Pelicans still aren\u2019t shopping either <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/murphtr02.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-26_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Trey Murphy III<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/j\/joneshe01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-26_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Herbert Jones<\/a> and that it would be inaccurate to characterize them as doing more than listening to offers.
