According to Fischer, the deal is worth $9.3m and includes a team option in the final season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">After being drafted by the Bucks with the 47th pick in the 2025 draft, Markovi\u0107 spent last season playing for Mega Basket in Serbia\u2019s Adriatic League (ABA), where he averaged 18.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.0 blocked shot in 31.8 minutes per game. As discussed by Deolu in May, Markovi\u0107\u2019s play <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brewhoop.com\/bucks-news\/65173\/milwaukee-nba-draft-pick-bogoljub-markovic-wins-serbias-mvp-award\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">earned him the league\u2019s MVP award<\/a>, while he also took home the Top Prospect Award for the second year in a row and was named to the \u201cIdeal Starting Five,\u201d Serbia\u2019s form of an All-NBA award.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">But this success shouldn\u2019t have come as a complete surprise\u2014Finn urged us all to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brewhoop.com\/2025\/7\/30\/24476325\/bogoljub-markovic-milwaukee-bucks-nba-serbia-nikola-jokic-draft-pick\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">not give up<\/a> on Markovi\u0107 after his largely disappointing play during last year\u2019s Summer League with Bucks, citing his self-belief, basketball understanding, shooting, and fluidity as strengths that hold him in good stead, and likening him to Lauri Markkanen. Ford<\/a>, and the rest of the coaching staff.
