Danny Green thinks the Spurs messed up.<\/p>\n

The San Antonio champion, who was part of the team\u2019s title-winning team in 2014, sounded off on the firing of team play-by-play man Jacob Tobey amid his alleged affair with Loren Waters<\/a> \u2014 the sister of Spurs player Lindy Waters III.<\/p>\n

While Tobey has been in the headlines for his behavior, Green called him a \u201creally good dude\u201d and said his private decisions did not merit the Spurs firing him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love everything the Spurs do and how they operate as an organization,\u201d Green said on his \u201cNo Fouls Given\u201d podcast. \u201cThey run a tight ship. They don\u2019t deal with no BS, and they don\u2019t like drama, so I understand certain issues. They\u2019re going to be like, \u2018No, we can\u2019t allow this.\u2019 To me, this was not one of those issues.\u201d<\/p>\n

Danny Green is disappointed by the Spurs decision to fire Jacob Tobey over cheating allegations:<\/p>\n

Sports talk host Colin Cowherd also recently questioned the Spurs\u2019 firing of Tobey.<\/a> <\/p>\n

Green, who spent eight years with the Spurs, added that he was \u201creally disappointed\u201d by the decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not a domestic violence case,\u201d he continued. \u201cHe didn\u2019t beat anybody up. He wasn\u2019t loitering or DUI or anything crazy. You know he has a relationship that is behind closed doors, this is his personal life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tobey\u2019s personal life became public when his now ex-girlfriend appeared to take over his Instagram account and exposed his alleged relationship with Waters on his Instagram story.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is my girlfriend of six years,\u201d\u00a0the post read<\/a>. \u201cBut I cheated on her with Loren Waters. So feel free to continue following me if you really think I\u2019m a good guy because I\u2019m not. :)\u201d<\/p>\n

Tobey\u2019s ex-girlfriend then shared a photo, which appeared to show the broadcaster and Waters kissing.<\/p>\n

Green, though, wasn\u2019t sure the Spurs followed the fairest process in Tobey\u2019s dismissal. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t know what the timetable of it was, if he was with this girl or not, or if he was even dating his girl at the time while he was with this girl,\u201d the former sharpshooter said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis girl could have made it up, and she hacked his social media, and she wanted to ruin his life, and you allowed that to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tobey has not yet commented on the situation and has made both his Instagram and X accounts private.<\/p>\n
