{"id":790473,"date":"2026-07-19T10:16:33","date_gmt":"2026-07-19T10:16:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/790473\/"},"modified":"2026-07-19T10:16:33","modified_gmt":"2026-07-19T10:16:33","slug":"jazz-guard-trey-alexander-taken-from-court-on-stretcher-in-summer-league-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/790473\/","title":{"rendered":"Jazz guard Trey Alexander taken from court on stretcher in Summer League game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAS VEGAS \u2014 Utah Jazz guard <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/HNKG28lXoAAWNZO?format=jpg&amp;name=4096x4096\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Trey Alexander was taken from the court on a stretcher<\/a> Monday night after appearing to injure his side on a drive to the basket in an NBA Summer League game against the Chicago Bulls.<\/p>\n<p>Alexander, who signed a two-way deal with Utah last week, made contact with the Bulls\u2019 Caleb Wilson while driving toward the basket and, after tossing the ball toward the hoop, went behind the basket clutching his side or abdomen. He then dropped to the ground, seemingly in great pain.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old Alexander was taken from the Thomas &amp; Mack Center court on a stretcher. The incident occurred with just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n<p>There was no immediate word from the Jazz on Alexander\u2019s injury.<\/p>\n<p>Alexander played three seasons at Creighton and skipped his final year of eligibility to turn pro.
