The Golden State Warriors<\/a> may not be out of the LeBron James free agency sweepstakes just yet.<\/p>\n Amid widespread that James is expected to choose betwen the Miami Heat<\/a> and Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a>, his agent, Rich Paul, made some telling comments on Monday that should serve as music to the ears of Warriors fans.<\/p>\n \u201cThese people don\u2019t know anything,\u201d Paul said on his \u201cGame Over\u201d podcast, via ESPN\u2019s Dave McMenamin<\/a>, while addressing the speculation around James\u2019 free agency.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know when his choice is going to be made, but it could be 48 seconds [from now]. It could be 48 minutes. I don\u2019t know. Again, you can\u2019t make somebody know something that they don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n LeBron James Free Agency: Still in Deliberation<\/p>\n Paul also suggested that James had yet to truly make a decision on his next team, shooting down reports that he was likely to go to an Eastern Conference team. To that end, Paul noted that several of James\u2019 suitors had reached out again to check if they could speed up the process by making roster tweaks to appease the 41-year-old star.<\/p>\n However, Paul made it clear that James and his camp weren\u2019t asking suitors for the moon and were satisfied with the pitches presented. Now, it\u2019s simply a matter of James making his decision after careful deliberation.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s been several people to call and say, \u2018Hey, Rich, is there anything more we should be doing? We could be doing?’\u201d Paul said of his recent conversations.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd my answer is, \u2018No. We don\u2019t need you to go above and beyond about anything. We understand it. It\u2019s clear. All the messages have been sent.’\u201d<\/p>\n Warriors in Holding Pattern<\/p>\n Per ESPN\u2019s McMenamin, the Cavaliers, Heat, and Sixers hold the edge over the Warriors due to James\u2019 reported wish to return to the East after playing his last eight seasons in the other conference. Amid such chatter, some insiders blame James\u2019 camp for stalling the Warriors\u2019 offseason, noting that the franchise has reportedly paused other trade talks while waiting on his decision.<\/p>\n From Paul\u2019s perspective, no team has been asked to wait on James.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s roster spots that\u2019s not filled,\u201d Paul said, addressing the critics. \u201cIf they want to fill their roster spots, we\u2019re not saying don\u2019t fill your roster spots.\u201d<\/p>\n Paul also shot back at analysts who\u2019ve blamed James for holding the entire free-agency market hostage, as Draymond Green, James Harden<\/a> and others wait on his decision.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s important for people to understand: We\u2019re not making this about attention and a spectacle,\u201d Paul said.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not about a \u2018Decision\u2019 or anything like that. He has a choice to make. He has a business choice to make. We\u2019re not going to sit here and decide or allow someone else to decide when he makes that decision. \u2026 It\u2019s a business choice that he\u2019s making. And I think as an athlete, why is it that an athlete has to rush his choice?\u201d<\/p>\n Even NBA<\/a> commissioner Adam Silver has urged James to make up his mind quickly so the league can finalize the schedule for the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n \u201cI saw Adam in New York and we discussed it,\u201d Paul revealed. \u201cAnd like I said, it\u2019s still his choice.
