Thompson appeared to be open to the idea, <a href=\"http:\/\/warriorswire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nba\/warriors\/2026\/07\/19\/klay-thompson-reveals-feelings-on-potential-reunion-with-warriors\/90972548007\/\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">saying<\/a>, &#8220;Never say never&#8221; to one fan, but to another fan, Thompson revealed a desire to retire with the team that drafted him No. 11 overall in 2011.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">When a fan asked if Klay was returning to the franchise, the five-time All-Star <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LegionHoops\/status\/2079346043570065637?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E2079346043570065637%7Ctwgr%5E434cb48a902a51a6b3c24683e7f16be304538d36%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.usatoday.com%2Fstory%2Fsports%2Fnba%2Fwarriors%2F2026%2F07%2F21%2Fklay-thompson-rumors-possible-reunion-warriors%2F90991504007%2F\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow\">said<\/a>, &#8220;Shoot, I don&#8217;t know. I got one year on my deal. It&#8217;d be nice to end it in Golden State.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">If Thompson were to return to the Bay Area, he could join the farewell tour, which would likely include Steve Kerr and possibly Stephen Curry.
