Stephen Curry<\/a> has made Basketball Hall of Fame history before retirement. The Golden State Warriors star is the first active NBA player to receive a dedicated exhibit at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n

The exhibit, titled \u201cStephen Curry: Beyond the Arc,\u201d opens Friday in Springfield, Massachusetts. It highlights Curry\u2019s rise from an overlooked college prospect to one of the NBA\u2019s most influential players. Visitors will see championship and Olympic memorabilia, game-worn gear, and archival footage documenting his career. <\/p>\n

\u201cBeing part of the Basketball Hall of Fame<\/a> in this way is hard to put into words,\u201d Curry said in a statement. \u201cWhen I think about my journey, I think about the people who believed in me, the work that happened when nobody was watching and the moments that shaped me on and off the court. To have that story told while I\u2019m still playing is something I don\u2019t take lightly.\u201d<\/p>\n

As reported by ESPN, <\/a>Hall of Fame President and CEO John Doleva called the exhibit a historic milestone. \u201cStephen Curry has not only redefined how the game of basketball is played, but he has also set a blueprint for what it means to be an exemplary role model,\u201d Doleva said. \u201cThis is truly a historic moment for us and for basketball fans worldwide.\u201d<\/p>\n

Curry enters his 18th NBA season as a four-time champion, two-time MVP and the league\u2019s all-time leader in three-point field goals. His long-range shooting transformed modern basketball and inspired a generation of players to expand their offensive range. The 38-year-old has previously said he hopes to play at least two more seasons. He is also expected to begin contract extension discussions with the Warriors when he becomes eligible later this summer.<\/p>\n
