Draymond Green is sticking with the only franchise he’s ever known, the Golden State Warriors, on a one-year deal, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Tuesday<\/a>. The contract is worth $27.7 million, Charania reported.<\/p>\n Green initially opted out of his previous contract in late June<\/a>, reportedly to help Golden State pursue free agent LeBron James with more financial flexibility. Now that James is headed to the Philadelphia 76ers, Green is back home and locked in for 2026-27.<\/p>\n Green has made over $228 million in career NBA earnings, per spotrac.com. He’s spent his entire pro career with Golden State, which picked him 35th overall in the 2012 NBA Draft.\u00a0<\/p>\n A native of Saginaw, Green averaged 8.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game last season for the Warriors. He is a four-time NBA champion, four-time All-Star, a former Defensive Player of the Year and a five-time first-team All-Defensive honoree.<\/p>\n At MSU, Green’s jersey is retired following a four-year career in which he played in 145 games for the Spartans.
