Broncos president Damani Leech on Saturday said a privately funded new stadium project at Burnham Yard<\/a> will \u201clikely\u201d include the sale of personal seat licenses.<\/p>\n

PSLs are one-time licenses that give the buyer the right to purchase season tickets for specific seats. They are commonplace in the NFL<\/a> and have been part of nearly every stadium project undertaken in the past decade.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt seems like it\u2019s a pretty likely thing to happen, but we haven\u2019t made any formal decisions on that,\u201d Leech said.<\/p>\n

Buyers who purchase PSLs typically get early access to tickets for other events held at the stadium. They are sellable if buyers decide to give up their season tickets, too.<\/p>\n

Teams sell PSLs to raise capital to help cover construction costs.<\/p>\n

It is not yet clear, if the club does sell them, exactly how they will work, if they will be for every seat in the new stadium or what they will cost.<\/p>\n

Super Bowl in play, but a long way out<\/p>\n

Leech reiterated the Broncos\u2019 interest in hosting a Super Bowl sometime after a new stadium would be completed, but said club officials don\u2019t think about it \u201cevery day.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Broncos\u2019 goal is to play in a new stadium at Burnham Yard for the 2031 season and to have the initial phase of an entertainment district<\/a> completed by then, too. Subsequent district phases, though, could take years to decades to fully complete.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think we\u2019re thinking that we need to wait until the end of the full development occurs,\u201d Leech said on potentially hosting a Super Bowl. \u201cI think that\u2019s not realistic and probably somebody who\u2019s just impatient wouldn\u2019t want to wait that long either. I think it\u2019s fine to consider doing a Super Bowl earlier on after the stadium opens than later.\u201d<\/p>\n

Demolition of old facility will happen after training camp<\/p>\n

The Broncos will wait until training camp concludes later this month before beginning demolition of their old team headquarters building.<\/p>\n

Once the old building is gone, the team plans to repurpose the east side of their property into a fan viewing area for future training camps. Exactly what form it takes, whether there is a simple grass berm like before, more terraced landscaping or some form of bleachers is still under consideration.<\/p>\n
