Veteran guard\/forward Bogdan Bogdanovic<\/a> was linked<\/a> to a couple different<\/a> EuroLeague teams in the lead-up to free agency, but he prioritized<\/a> continuing his career in the NBA. Denver reportedly<\/a> expressed interest in the Serbian national team star, who ended up signing a one-year, minimum salary contract with the Rockets.<\/p>\n

Bogdanovic, whose deal with Houston is guaranteed, recently spoke to Vasilije Matkovic of Serbian outlet RHTN<\/a> about his preparations for the upcoming season \u2014 he\u2019s been training in Montenegro \u2014 and said he\u2019s \u201chappy\u201d to be a Rocket, as Eurohoops<\/a> relays.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor this season, my first goal is to stay healthy, achieve team success and put myself in a position to compete for an NBA championship,\u201d said Bogdanovic, who battled a nagging hamstring injury throughout 2025\/26 after rupturing his hamstring last summer at EuroBasket 2025. \u201cThat would be a huge step forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old didn\u2019t rule out a potential return to Europe in the future, particularly with Partizan Belgrade, his hometown team, but it\u2019s not what he\u2019s focused on right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have now signed with Houston, and my mind is completely there. I can\u2019t think about what might happen in two, three or four years.\u201d<\/p>\n
