Houston Rockets forward Amen Thompson has been training with other NBA players this offseason.Thompson’s offseason activities have also included attending the FIFA World Cup and starting a new hobby.Coach Ime Udoka is looking for offensive improvement from Thompson, particularly in his 3-point shooting.Thompson holds a career 3-point shooting average of 21.9%.<\/p>\n

Houston Rockets<\/a> forward Amen Thompson has had a busy offseason. From attending the FIFA World Cup<\/a> to taking up a new hobby<\/a> with his twin brother, Thompson has enjoyed his time off from a demanding NBA season.<\/p>\n

However, the former No. 4 overall pick is still dedicated to improving his game, having recently trained with other NBA stars in Miami, Florida. In a recent video<\/a> posted to social media, Thompson was seen working out with his brother Ausar (Detroit Pistons<\/a>), Cade Cunningham (Detroit Pistons), Davion Mitchell (Miami Heat<\/a>), Taurean Prince (Milwaukee Bucks<\/a>) and recent No. 3 overall pick Cameron Boozer (Memphis Grizzlies).<\/p>\n

While Thompson is one of the best defenders in the NBA, Rockets head coach Ime Udoka will be eager to see his offensive improvement during the 2026-27 season, most importantly his 3-point shooting. Thompson holds a career average of 21.9% from beyond the arc. If able to unlock this portion of his game, Thompson would easily become one of the most feared two-way players in the league.<\/p>\n
