Call this breaking breaking news.<\/p>\n

One of the rarest basketball cards on earth was pulled in Rhode Island on Monday night.<\/p>\n

A 1:1 Cooper Flagg Rookie Debut Patch Autograph card was pulled during a livestream Monday night by RhodyBreakers, a social account affiliated with the Baseball Cards of Rhode Island card shop in North Kingstown.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the video, we see the hosts pull the 1:1 rookie card \u2014 and lose words.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOh my god,\u201d says one host, as the other raises his hands to his face in stunned silence.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The signed card \u2014 part of a 2026 Topps Chrome Update Basketball set, with signed debut patch cards from the 2025 NBA Draft class\u2014 features a patch from Flagg\u2019s jersey, worn during his NBA debut with the Dallas Mavericks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Flagg signed the card during Fanatics Fest in July.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Following the pull, Topps tweeted simply: \u201chistory was made in rhode island\u201d with a photo of the card.<\/p>\n

How much is it worth? Card fans online estimated between $2 million and $4 million, and commented<\/a>, \u201cHold out for 5 mil.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Portland Press Herald<\/a>, in Flagg\u2019s home state of Maine, estimated upward of $5 million.\u00a0 ESPN reports: \u201cA similar exclusive card featuring Pittsburgh Pirates star pitcher Paul Skenes sold for $1.11 million last year, leading to speculation that Flagg\u2019s card could fetch at least as much in an auction\u2026The owner of Flagg\u2019s card will be hard-pressed to part with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The owner was not made clear. According to the Facebook page \u201cWhat\u2019s Going in Rhode Island<\/a>,\u201d the break spot was purchased by a collector in South Carolina.\u00a0 RhodyBreakers said online that the person paid \u201c$515 for the 3 box break,\u201d meaning any Dallas Mavericks card in those three boxes went to the buyer, including the ultra-rare Flagg. <\/p>\n

The Dallas Mavericks posted to Instagram on August 6 that they\u2019re offering a \u201cbounty\u201d for the unicorn: \u201cIf you have it, we want it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their offer includes: two Mavericks season premium lower level tickets for 32 years; a signed, game-worn Flagg rookie jersey; a tour of the practice facility; a trip to see the Mavericks vs. Boston Celtics (airfare, hotel and game tickets covered) and more.<\/p>\n

Some commenters said that was a hard pass:<\/p>\n

\u201cNah I want 5 mil and a signed jersey.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one is taking this offer \ud83d\ude02\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHahaha nope hold on to it and retire in 10 yrs\u201d<\/p>\n

In the RhodyBreaker video posted Monday night, we hear one host say: \u201cCould be a life-changing hit. Could just be a pretty sweet hit\u2026Alright, good luck, here. Debut patch is \u2026\u201d he pauses while the card is unveiled.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh my god. Welp. There it is. Rhody did it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The other host just puts his hands to face, and pushes his chair back from the screen, before laughing in shock.\u00a0<\/p>\n
