{"id":809971,"date":"2026-08-12T15:24:21","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T15:24:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/809971\/"},"modified":"2026-08-12T15:24:21","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T15:24:21","slug":"mark-cuban-withdraws-petition-against-mavericks-but-dispute-isnt-over-nbc-5-dallas-fort-worth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/809971\/","title":{"rendered":"Mark Cuban withdraws petition against Mavericks but dispute isn\u2019t over \u2013 NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mavericks minority shareholder Mark Cuban has withdrawn his Rule 202 Petition against team governor Patrick Dumont, and the case has been dismissed without prejudice \u2014 but the dispute appears far from over. <\/p>\n<p>Late Monday, Cuban\u2019s attorneys filed a notice of nonsuit without prejudice in Texas Business Court. Judge Bill Whitehill subsequently dismissed the case and cancelled the arbitration hearing scheduled for Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Whitehill also ordered each side to pay its own legal fees.
