{"id":813578,"date":"2026-08-16T22:36:17","date_gmt":"2026-08-16T22:36:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/813578\/"},"modified":"2026-08-16T22:36:17","modified_gmt":"2026-08-16T22:36:17","slug":"warriors-yaxel-lendeborg-makes-bold-dillon-brooks-declaration-nbc-sports-bay-area-california","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/813578\/","title":{"rendered":"Warriors\u2019 Yaxel Lendeborg makes bold Dillon Brooks declaration \u2013 NBC Sports Bay Area &#038; California"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/lendeya01.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Yaxel Lendeborg<\/a> might be just a rookie, but he already is well aware of the Warriors&#8217; long-standing history with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/brookdi01.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dillon Brooks.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The NBA veteran has had plenty of infamous incidents playing against Golden State, from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsportsbayarea.com\/nba\/golden-state-warriors\/gp2-has-fractured-elbow-kerr-chastises-brooks-who-broke-code\/1413067\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">clotheslining Gary Payton II<\/a> and fracturing his elbow in the 2022 Western Conference semifinals, to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsportsbayarea.com\/nba\/golden-state-warriors\/steph-curry-thumb-injury-dillon-brooks\/1847053\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">swiping at Steph Curry&#8217;s injured thumb<\/a>, among several other run-ins.<\/p>\n<p>So, when Lendeborg was asked recently on his Kick stream if he&#8217;s excited to match up with Brooks this season, his answer was essentially music to Dub Nation&#8217;s ears.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m finna give Dillon Brooks belt, man. Stop playing, bruh,&#8221; Lendeborg responded without hesitation.<\/p>\n<p>Lendeborg&#8217;s first opportunity to do just that will come almost right away.
