This contract in particular allows for younger players to split time between an NBA team and the team\u2019s G-League affiliate. His signing with the Pacers marks the third chapter of his basketball career spent in Indiana.<\/p>\n<p>Smith\u2019s 2026 NBA Summer League performance included five appearances under the Pacers. In those appearances, Smith averaged 6.8 points, 7.2 assists and 4.4 rebounds.<\/p>\n<p>While at Purdue, Smith became the NCAA\u2019s all-time assist leader with 1,103 total assists. He also helped lead the Boilers to an appearance in the 2024 National Championship Game, two Big Ten regular season championships and two Big Ten Tournament Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Smith stands as one of two Boilermakers selected in the 2026 NBA draft followed by former Purdue forward Trey Kaufman-Renn.
