{"id":816362,"date":"2026-08-20T08:03:15","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T08:03:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/816362\/"},"modified":"2026-08-20T08:03:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T08:03:15","slug":"addison-archer-of-rancho-christian-girls-basketball-transfers-to-mater-dei-orange-county-register","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/816362\/","title":{"rendered":"Addison Archer of Rancho Christian girls basketball transfers to Mater Dei \u2013 Orange County Register"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Support our high school sports coverage by becoming a digital subscriber.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/checkout.ocregister.com\/subscriptionpanel\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Subscribe now<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mater Dei\u2019s girls basketball team has added a second major transfer.<\/p>\n<p>Addison Archer, a high-scoring sophomore guard from Rancho Christian, has enrolled at the Trinity League school, Monarchs coach Jody Wynn confirmed late Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The 5-foot-9 Archer averaged 26.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.9 steals last season en route being named the CalHiSports freshman of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the offseason, junior forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocregister.com\/2026\/06\/08\/ontario-christian-girls-basketballs-tatianna-griffin-signals-transfer-to-mater-dei\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tatianna Griffin of state champion Ontario Christian transferred to Mater Dei<\/a>. Griffin is considered the No. 1 recruit in the nation for the Class of 2028.<\/p>\n<p>Archer is the No. 15 recruit in the nation in the Class of 2029 by ESPN SportsCenter Next.<\/p>\n<p>She has been offered by USC, Michigan, Texas A &amp; M and Florida among others.<\/p>\n<p>Last season, Archer led Rancho Christian to the CIF-SS Open Division quarterfinals and the Division I final of the CIF SoCal Regional.<\/p>\n<p>Griffin and Archer \u2014 both All-CIF players \u2014 join a Mater Dei team that also reached the Open Division quarterfinals and the Division I regional semifinals last season.<\/p>\n<p>The Monarchs return first-team All-Trinity League selections Harmony Golightly and Stella Hoss among others.<\/p>\n<p>Golightly, a senior guard, earned Trinity League MVP.
