{"id":817936,"date":"2026-08-22T07:33:17","date_gmt":"2026-08-22T07:33:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/817936\/"},"modified":"2026-08-22T07:33:17","modified_gmt":"2026-08-22T07:33:17","slug":"56-of-nets-fans-predict-at-least-a-30-win-campaign-next-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/817936\/","title":{"rendered":"56% of Nets fans predict at least a 30-win campaign next season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aug. 21, 2026, 3:30 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The <a href=\"\/\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">Brooklyn Nets<\/a> made some nice moves this offseason, headlined by the team trading for <a data-autotag=\"ac5e47f0-6bd5-488e-9fd0-a3a235704d6f\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/basketball\/nba\/teams\/minnesota-timberwolves\/16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a> forward Julius Randle to make the roster more competitive next season. Despite the fact that Brooklyn added Randle and other veterans to the team, many around the league aren&#8217;t convinced that the Nets will perform much better next year. The majority of Brooklyn&#8217;s fanbase feels differently, however.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">In a poll conducted by NetsDaily, 56% of the respondents predicted the Nets to win somewhere between 30 and 39 games next season, as written by NetsDaily&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netsdaily.com\/nets-game-threads\/113248\/brooklyn-nets-win-prediction-over-under-fanduel\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Anthony Puccio<\/a>. The next-biggest chunk of respondents (35%) in the poll projected for Brooklyn to win somewhere between 20 and 29 games, followed by 7% of voters predicting a 40-49 win season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">&#8220;For whatever it means to the <a data-autotag=\"02f2623f-cb52-4847-8284-ff461d726c25\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/basketball\/nba\/teams\/brooklyn-nets\/17\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">Brooklyn Nets<\/a>, oddsmakers and pundits don\u2019t project win totals based on morale or culture-building,&#8221; Puccio wrote in part when explaining the results of the poll. &#8220;Brooklyn added three-time All-Star Julius Randle and clearly\u00a0improved\u00a0this offseason, but the Eastern Conference only got stronger following the Knicks first championship in 53 years.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">As Puccio noted, pundits and sportsbooks around the league predict for the Nets to be better than they were last season, but not by much. When <a href=\"http:\/\/netswire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nba\/nets\/2026\/08\/13\/nets-projected-to-finish-2026-27-nba-season-with-22-60-record\/91297529007\/\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bleacher Report<\/a> put out its record predictions for all 30 NBA teams, Brooklyn was projected to finish with 22-60 record while <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.betmgm.com\/en\/blog\/nba\/nba-odds-predictions-season-win-totals-bm23\/\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BetMGM<\/a> has the Nets&#8217; win total at 24.5 while being among the few teams where betting the over actually wins the bettor more money than the under.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">If the Nets were able to win somewhere between 30 and 39 games thanks to Randle and forward Michael Porter Jr. leading the way, they would be looking at a spot in the play-in tournament.
