West and James became teammates with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2008. West provided defense, shooting and ball-handling around James during Cleveland’s push for contention.

West played eight NBA seasons with the Boston Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks. He averaged 9.7 points, 3.6 assists and 2.9 rebounds during his career.

His post-NBA years brought serious personal challenges and repeated public concern about his well-being. West has also spoken openly about his struggles while working toward a healthier life.

His latest appearance comes alongside a new opportunity outside basketball. N3on has given West streaming equipment and helped him launch his own Kick channel.

West’s story highlights how relationships can continue despite tough times. James and West shared a locker room during Cleveland’s strongest years before their careers moved in different directions. LeBron, being a good teammate, has offered constant support away from cameras and basketball.

That connection with James, who has recently signed with the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-year, $7.95 million veteran-minimum contract, appears to remain meaningful years after their time together in Cleveland.
