{"id":821584,"date":"2026-08-27T05:25:03","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T05:25:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/821584\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T05:25:03","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T05:25:03","slug":"nba-star-brandon-clarkes-disturbing-death-scene-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/821584\/","title":{"rendered":"NBA star Brandon Clarke&#8217;s disturbing death scene revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke allegedly had syringes, prescription meds, a box of Narcan and an \u201cunknown\u201d white powder in his home <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/08\/07\/sports\/brandon-clarke-cause-of-death-revealed-as-lethal-combination-of-drugs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">when he died earlier this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators made the stunning findings inside Clarke\u2019s San Fernando Valley home on May 11 <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/08\/15\/sports\/brandon-clarkes-family-to-receive-full-12-5-million-contract-after-death\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">when they discovered his body<\/a>, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner\u2019s death report obtained by the California Post Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Brandon Clarke, No. 15 of the Memphis Grizzlies, died earlier this year on May 11 inside his San Fernando Valley home. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Investigators uncovered \u201cvape devices, cannabis products, prescription medications, injectable peptides, syringes, a box of Narcan, blister packets of medications, vitamins and other medical evidence\u201d in and around his room and its attached bathroom, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, officials alleged they discovered\u00a0\u201ca plate containing [an] unknown white powdery substance and a hotel key card\u201d on the kitchen island counter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe cause of death is attributed to effects of heroin and cocaine,\u201d the death investigation summary stated. \u201cCombined effects of multiple prescription medications are listed as contributory. The manner of death is classified as accident.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clarke\u2019s roommate told investigators the basketball player had a history of drug use and had prior stints at a rehabilitation program, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>Clarke got his start in the NBA in 2019, when the Grizzlies selected him in the first round.<\/p>\n<p>He went on to play seven seasons for the Memphis franchise, starting 50 total games. He was in the middle of a $52 million contract with the team when he died.<\/p>\n<p>Clarke\u2019s cause of death is attributed to effects of heroin and cocaine, per the death investigation summary, and deemed accidental. for the NY POST<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are heartbroken by the tragic loss of Brandon Clarke,\u201d the Grizzlies said in a statement the day after his death. \u201cBrandon was an outstanding teammate and an even better person whose impact on the organization and the greater Memphis community will not be forgotten. We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/05\/12\/sports\/brandon-clarke-arrested-with-half-a-pound-of-drugs-weeks-before-death\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Clarke was arrested in Arkansas<\/a> just weeks before his death, after authorities claimed they found 235.6 grams of kratom, colloquially known as \u201cgas-station heroin,\u201d inside of his vehicle during a routine traffic stop.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrandon was an outstanding teammate and an even better person whose impact on the organization and the greater Memphis community will not be forgotten,\u201d the Grizzlies said in a statement. NBAE via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Clarke told officers at the scene that he believed the drugs were \u201clegal,\u201d according to the Cross County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>The case was still pending when he died.<\/p>\n<p>Clarke\u2019s fianc\u00e9e, Amber Lorraine, called him \u201cthe most special person, with the biggest heart\u201d in an emotional social media post in the days after his death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are no words to describe this feeling,\u201d she said. \u201cThe day you proposed was the happiest day of my life.
