Nostalgia is coming back to Brooklyn in 2026.<\/p>\n
According to the NBA Uniform Tracker, the Brooklyn Nets will bring back their 2018-19 City Edition uniforms for the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n
This will not be the uniform\u2019s first return. The Nets brought back the Coogi-inspired \u201cBrooklyn Camo\u201d design for 11 games last season, beginning with Biggie Night against the Toronto Raptors on November 11.<\/p>\n
In 2018, the Nets outperformed the consensus expectations. After an over\/under win total set at 31.5, Brooklyn went on to go 42-40 while finishing sixth in the Eastern Conference.<\/p>\n
Although they lost in the first round of the playoffs, it was a very fun season that created core memories for the fanbase. D\u2019Angelo Russell had a major breakout, making his first All-Star team while leading the squad in scoring.<\/p>\n
Caris LeVert and Jarrett Allen emerged as the faces of the team\u2019s young corps, and Spencer Dinwiddie was the scoring punch Brooklyn needed off the bench.<\/p>\n
Now, the 2026-27 Nets should look to follow a similar blueprint.<\/p>\n
Nobody should expect this team to return to the playoffs immediately, but there are several areas where it compares to the 2018-19 squad.<\/p>\n
Egor D\u00ebmin and Mikel Brown Jr. are looking to solidify themselves as the future of the Nets\u2019 backcourt, and Brooklyn has an opportunity to become a scrappy and competitive team under head coach Jordi Fern\u00e1ndez that opponents hate playing against.<\/p>\n
If the Nets can overachieve while feeling confident that D\u00ebmin and Brown Jr. are long-term building blocks, that would be a successful season for the organization.<\/p>\n
