Sacramento\u2019s great exodus may be continuing. <\/p>\n
Kings big man Domantas Sabonis<\/a> \u201cwants to get out\u201d of Sacramento, Brian Windhorst of ESPN reported this week on \u201cThe Hoop Collective\u201d podcast<\/a>. Windhorst noted that Sabonis also recently hired a new agent \u2014 Aaron Mintz of CAA, who successfully orchestrated Trae Young<\/a>\u2019s exit from the Atlanta Hawks<\/a> last January.<\/p>\n Sabonis, now 30 years old, has been with the Kings since 2022 after arriving in the Tyrese Haliburton<\/a> trade with the Indiana Pacers<\/a>. He quickly became a centerpiece for Sacramento, making an All-Star team, getting named to two All-NBA teams, and leading the league in rebounding three straight times from 2023-25.<\/p>\n The Kings most recently peaked in 2022-23 when they earned their first playoff berth since 2006 and won their first division title since 2003. But Sacramento has steadily plummeted ever since then, most recently finishing at a brutal 22-60 last season.<\/p>\n As a result, the Kings have traded away or otherwise parted ways with several key members of that 2022-23 team, including De\u2019Aaron Fox (Sabonis\u2019 co-star), Kevin Huerter<\/a>, Harrison Barnes<\/a>, and Davion Mitchell<\/a>. Now it looks like Sabonis himself could be the next one to go.<\/p>\n
