OXFORD, Miss. – Former DeSoto County youth pastor Lindsey Whiteside pleaded guilty Friday to a federal charge of transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, according to her attorney.<\/p>\n

Whiteside’s attorney said the plea agreement does not include an agreed upon sentence.<\/p>\n

The statutory penalty for the count is no less than 10 years to life in prison, along with at least five years of supervised release.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The other two federal charges against Whiteside will be dismissed at her sentencing hearing, scheduled for Jan. 13, 2027, in Greenville, Mississippi.<\/p>\n

Whiteside already pleaded guilty to sexual battery in state court and was sentenced to house arrest and supervised release.<\/p>\n

Her attorney declined to comment further.<\/p>\n
