So the blood that is donated here stays locally for all the Milwaukee hospitals and all of the patients who might need them as an emergency basis or for their continued care,&#8221; a Versiti representative said.  <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"6\">Versiti noted that while the blood supply is currently steady, maintaining that level requires daily donations.  <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"7\">&#8220;We&#8217;re back to a steady supply, of course, but that can change in a heartbeat. And a steady supply means that donors show up every single day to supply blood,&#8221; the representative said.  <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"9\">Quiana Scott, who works for Versiti, came in on her day off to donate blood.  <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"10\">&#8220;You never know what you&#8217;re doing on the back end for someone else who really needs the blood product or the platelet or the plasma.
