Doncic spent last summer in Slovenia alongside his daughters. He flew the Lakers out to his home country for a minicamp so he could remain near his family.<\/p>\n
He returned to Los Angeles last week ahead of training camp. At Lakers media day, he wore bracelets his daughters had made for him. Before returning to Los Angeles, Doncic posted photos of his daughters on Instagram. <\/p>\n
\u201cG+O, no matter where in the world your Dad is, there is not a day when you wouldn\u2019t be in my heart,\u201d Doncic wrote in Slovenian. \u201cWherever I go, you are always with me. I love you! \u2764\ufe0f \u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n
Doncic didn\u2019t play for the Slovenia national team last summer so he could spend time with his children. <\/p>\n
\u201cI love my daughters more than anything, and they will always come first in my life,\u201d Doncic wrote in an Instagram post last May<\/a>. \u201cAs I continue working toward joint custody of my daughters, I have been forced to make a difficult decision between traveling and playing for the Slovenian national team and being with my daughters this summer.
