Cameron Woodall, an ex-college basketball star who died at 26 in an ATV accident, cuts down the nets. Facebook<\/p>\n
The accident occurred in Raymond, Mississippi on Midway Road around 11:25 p.m. on Saturday while Woodall and another person on a second ATV were driving down the roadway.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Hinds County Sheriff\u2019s Office, AMR, the Byram Volunteer Fire Department and the Raymond Volunteer Fire Department responded to the accident.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Woodall died from his injuries and the second person was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with profound sadness that we share the untimely passing of Cameron D. \u2018Big Cam\u2019 Woodall, a beloved former Tougaloo College men\u2019s basketball standout,\u201d Tougaloo athletics wrote on its Instagram page. \u201cKnown for his larger-than-life presence, fierce competitiveness on the court, and kind-hearted spirit off it, Cam left an indelible mark on the Tougaloo family. \u201cHis impact extended far beyond basketball; he was a friend, a brother, and a true Bulldog through and through. We send our deepest condolences to his family, friends, teammates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Hinds County Sheriff\u2019s Office is leading the investigation into the accident, which is currently ongoing.<\/p>\n
