Boogie did a bad. The former NBA All Star has essentially been thrown out of his latest professional basketball league.<\/p>\n
DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins has been suspended for the remainder of the season<\/a>, and had his contract terminated<\/a>, after a fight with fans during a recent game. The “brawl” took place during a Mets de Guaynabo game in the Puerto Rican Professional Basketball<\/a> League, where Cousins has been playing for the last two seasons. Even though many reports are calling it a “fight” or a “brawl”, this incident was far from the Malice at the Palace incident <\/a>the NBA <\/a>saw during a game between the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons in 2004.<\/p>\n The Incident That Ended Cousins’ Puerto Rico Stint<\/p>\n Back in 04, Indiana Pacers players went into the stands in Detroit and started legitimately fighting with fans. However, this Puerto Rico incident<\/a> with Boogie Cousins was more tame. See the video here:<\/p>\n During Cousins’ NBA career, he played for 7 different franchises over his 11 years in the league. Most of his time was spent with the Sacramento Kings, where he was a 3-time All Star and made the All-NBA Second Team twice. However, he didn’t get to play in the Playoffs for New Orleans<\/a>. Cousins tore his Achilles tendon before the Playoffs, and missed the rest of the season. His New Orleans career would end there.<\/p>\n
