The NBA legend posted a video to his profile on X on Saturday that will likely only fan the flames of any retirement rumors he will face this offseason. <\/p>\n
James posted a seven-second clip of him sitting at a faux press conference when one person asked: \u201cAre the retirement rumors true?\u201d<\/p>\n
As the 40-year-old was set to answer, the clip quickly cut to black (\u201cThe Sopranos,\u201d anyone?) without any response. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been asking myself the same question\u2026\u00a0#ad,\u201d he wrote with thinking and crown emojis.<\/p>\n

IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect<\/p>\n The retirement chatter has surrounded James the past few years, which he officially squashed when he announced he\u2019d return to the Lakers in 2023 at the ESPYs<\/a> and again returned last season on a two-year, $104 million contract. <\/p>\n This all came after James said in 2022 that his last season in the NBA would be with his son Bronny.<\/p>\n \u201cMy last year will be played with my son,\u201d\u00a0James told the Athletic<\/a>\u00a0in 2022. \u201cWherever Bronny is at, that\u2019s where I\u2019ll be.<\/p>\n \u201cI would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It\u2019s not about the money at that point.\u201d<\/p>\n
