\u2014 Danny Marang (@DannyMarang) June 13, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n Maryland forward Derik Queen was reportedly among the prospects who worked out with the Portland Trail Blazers<\/a> on Friday, according to Danny Marang of 1080 The Fan.<\/p>\n Queen was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, averaging 16.5 points, nine rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks in 36 games on 52.6% shooting from the field. He helped lead the Terrapins to their first Sweet 16 appearance since 2016.<\/p>\n Joining Queen were BYU point guard Egor Demin and Cholet Basket forward Noah Penda. The visit was the first known workout<\/a> for each player this year.<\/p>\n Demin was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team, averaging 10.6 points, 5.5 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals on 41.2% shooting from the field in 33 games. He finished in double figures 19 times, including a season-high 20 points, seven assists and rebounds on Nov. 8.<\/p>\n Penda averaged 10.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals on 44.7% shooting from the field in 37 games in the French League. He has scored at least 10 points 19 times, including a near triple-double on May 17 with 18 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists.<\/p>\n The Trail Blazers enter the draft with only the 11th pick. They have hosted several other potential targets ahead of the draft on June 25-26, including Liam McNeeley (Duke), Asa Newell (Georgia) and Jase Richardson (Michigan State), among others.<\/p>\n
