This last week, during the New York Knicks<\/a> coaching search, Dallas Mavericks<\/a> head coach Jason Kidd\u2019s name kept coming up. Finally, after our poll was up and running, the Knicks actually asked official permission to interview Kidd. Finally, the Mavericks said no, putting the kibosh on this whole idea (we think).<\/p>\n

Still! At the time it seemed real enough! So we asked the question, after all, Kidd has a history of getting out while the getting is good. Here are the results of our poll. <\/p>\n

Nationally, there were some different questions. With the series tied 2-2 the Oklahoma City Thunder are still NBA Finals<\/a> favorites according to FanDuel, currently getting -590 odds<\/a> at the time of this writing. Fans were asked in the National poll if this Finals felt \u201cbig\u201d enough. As we can see here, fans are essentially split on the idea. <\/p>\n

This last week also saw lots of discussion about the presentation of Finals. One specific discussion revolved around the Finals Logo (or lack there of). At least as it comes to those taking the polls, just 42% of fans found it to matter. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a good Finals so far, and concern about the pageantry and presentation aren\u2019t for nothing, though the discussion may be overwrought. <\/p>\n
