Entering Monday night, Dallas Cowboys legend Jason Witten ranked second on the NFL’s all-time leaderboard for career receiving yards by a tight end. Now, he’s third behind Travis Kelce.
Kelce brought his career receiving yardage to 13,073 during the Chiefs’ Monday night showdown with the Denver Broncos. Kelce needed just 44 receiving yards in Monday’s game to catch up to Witten’s total of 13,046. The Kansas City standout picked up yardage on a 59-yard reception with 6:09 left in the third quarter.
Kelce has been one of the NFL’s most productive tight ends since he entered the league in 2013. Some wondered if Kelce would retire after the 2025 season, but he chose to return to Kansas City for the 2026 campaign on a one-year, $12 million deal. Kelce has been Patrick Mahomes’ top target throughout the stint together in Kansas City.
Tony Gonzalez holds the NFL record for most receiving yards by a tight end with 15,127. He also posted 111 touchdown catches throughout his professional career.
