Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals are feeling good about being 1-0 to start the 2026 season. They’re also feeling physically good across the board as well.

The Cincinnati Bengals are feeling good about being 1-0 to start the 2026 season. They’re also feeling physically good as well.

Coach Zac Taylor confirmed to reporters Monday the Bengals came out of Sunday’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers without any notable injuries.

“Pretty good,” Taylor said of his team’s health Monday. “I mean, maybe a couple guys limited early in the week, but came out pretty clean.”

Bengals injury update entering Week 2

Cincinnati only had one player not able to dress due to injury this past week. Defensive end Shemar Stewart is still working back from hyperextending his knee at the start of training camp. Stewart practiced twice last week before not participating on Friday.

The Bengals opted not to play Stewart on Injured Reserve to start the season, a decision that would’ve kept him out of the first four games. He had a chance to play in Week 1, and he figures to be in the conversation this week as well.

Cornerback DJ Turner II was listed with a hamstring injury last week. Turner popped up on the injury report Thursday after being a limited participant. He went limited again on Friday, but was good to play Sunday. He nearly played 100% of the snaps Sunday had it not been for a glove issue that took them off momentarily. Rookie CB Tacario Davis filled in for Turner.

I expect Stewart, Turner, and wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to be included on Wednesday’s injury report. Chase (knee) and Higgins (heel) received treatment last week, and Chase ended up resting on Friday. Both were cleared to play Sunday, but combined for just five receptions for 71 yards against the Bucs.

We’ll see if any other players need to work through minor ailments after Sunday’s game. Otherwise, Cincy is starting the season undefeated and as healthy as can be.
