Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III has not done much recently to earn the good graces of 49ers fans.
Walker played an integral role in the Seattle Seahawks’ Week 18 and NFC Divisional Round wins over the 49ers last season en route to winning Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium, a game in which he took home Super Bowl MVP honors and helped San Francisco’s bitter rivals lift the Lombardi Trophy in the 49ers’ home stadium.
Walker then left the Seahawks in NFL free agency only to join the Chiefs, a team perhaps even more despised by the Faithful.
Walker added insult to injury when he broke a 37-year-old record held by Jerry Rice with his stellar Week 1 performance in the Chiefs’ 31-10 win over the Denver Broncos on “Monday Night Football.”
Walker accumulated 191 scrimmage yards, breaking Rice’s record of 180 yards set in 1989 for the most yards from scrimmage by a reigning Super Bowl MVP in the first game of the season.

Walker rushed for 173 yards and a touchdown on 23 attempts. He also added 18 yards and a touchdown through the air on three catches, totaling 191 yards and two scores on 26 touches.
San Francisco fans will be keeping an extra close eye on Walker on Dec. 27 when the 49ers match up against Kansas City in Week 16, and a win would go a long way in assuaging the pain Walker has caused the Faithful in the last year.
