Football is back, fall is peeking its head out from the summer heat in Northern Colorado, and life is good. If you happened to catch the Denver Broncos opening season game on Monday night, you might feel a bit discouraged by the performance on the field.

Hey, that’s okay. It’s still early in the season, and the Denver Broncos have a lot to prove this year. We’re going to be fine. Over the years, we have seen intense rivalries between numerous teams.
The Denver Broncos’ Biggest Rivalries
When it comes to hating the other team, which one is the biggest rival? I suppose that can always be up for debate, depending on which Broncos fan you ask. The game is competitive in nature, and at the end of the day, one team has to win, and the other has to lose. That’s just how the game works.
Denver Broncos vs. Las Vegas Raiders
The Los Angeles Chargers have been a long-time rival of the Denver Broncos in the AFC West Division. According to Wikipedia, the Denver Broncos have held a lead over the divisional rivalry with a record of 74-58-1.

The Broncos and the Chargers have only met once in the playoffs, and the Denver Broncos won 24-17 in 2014.
Denver Broncos vs. Las Vegas Raiders
Since 1960, the Denver Broncos have been playing against another divisional opponent, the Raiders. Our Denver Broncos have not had the best of luck taking on this team, as the Raiders lead with a series record of 73-58-2.

The Raiders and Broncos have faced off twice in the AFC playoffs, both holding a tie with one win each.
Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs
In my humble opinion, the Kansas City Chiefs are the biggest rivals to the Denver Broncos. A decades-long battle between the two teams is intense, albeit fun to watch. CBS ranked the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs as the number four NFL rivalry of the 1990s in 2020. The Kansas City Chiefs lead the series 74-59.

However, the Denver Broncos really pulled through against the Chiefs when it was crunch time, beating the Chiefs the only time they have faced each other in the playoffs in 1998.
Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots
When it comes to the playoffs, it is a whole different game. Facing all-time greats like Tom Brady and the New England Patriots has been a nail-biting thrill ride in the past. 56 total games, the Denver Broncos lead the series against the New England Patriots 31-25.

I am happy to report that the Denver Broncos have been able to defeat the Patriots four of those six times when facing off in the playoffs.
