The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 2 contest against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Kicker Eddy Piñeiro continues to miss practice due to an illness. However, participation was high on Thursday, with several players returning after a rest day on Wednesday, including defensive end Nick Bosa and running back Christian McCaffrey.
Wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling remains listed as a non-participant. The 49ers are expected to place him on injured reserve ahead of Sunday’s game. He is expected to miss about 10 weeks after undergoing ankle surgery.
Running back Kaelon Black also appeared on the injury report with a groin issue and was listed as limited. He played 28 snaps against the Los Angeles Rams last week.
“I think we’re just being smart with him,” head coach Kyle Shanahan said during his weekly interview on Bay Area radio station KNBR. “He was a little tight today, so we didn’t push him too hard.”
Below are Thursday’s practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Dolphins, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
