Fernando Mendoza could have a career as an actor when he is done with football.
The Las Vegas Raiders rookie quarterback stars in the latest ad for State Farm that debuted Thursday, and it’s another example of his brilliant comedic timing.
The 30-second ad titled “Vegas Changes a Man” plays off Mendoza’s wholesome image and shows him wearing a snorkel mask poolside at a day club with Jake from State Farm (“let’s rage!”), followed by a blackjack table where he announces “Go Fish” to the players seated beside him.
Mendoza is then shown eating a chocolate chip cookie in a hotel room with the Strip in the background and admits he already brushed his teeth.
“That’s Vegas, baby,” Mendoza says.
Mendoza later boasts he didn’t even call his mom that day.
“You know what? I’m gonna call her,” Mendoza says sheepishly.
After he was the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft, Mendoza crushed it in a “Step Brothers” parody alongside Kirk Cousins for the Raiders’ schedule release.
He also gave a hysterical performance as a Taco Bell manager in a video posted on his Instagram page Sept. 8.
