Jason Sanders will kick for the Jets again Sunday against Green Bay.

Aaron Glenn made the announcement Friday after Sanders — who had an ugly training camp — performed well in the opening-week win over the Titans, with a pair of field goals from more than 50 yards after missing badly from 54 yards early in the game.

“Sanders will be the kicker,’’ Glenn said. “I thought it was critical to see him go through that miss and then be able to come back and make two 50-something yarders, which I thought was impressive.”

Sanders’ role was in question after his unsteady performance over the summer, which helped lead the Jets to claim Blake Grupe off waivers before the opener.

But after he didn’t come close on the 54-yarder, Sanders recovered against Tennessee, with the two long field goals in his first regular-season game since 2024, when he was with Miami.

“Every time you miss, when you come back and hit those, it’s definitely a nice little boost to your confidence,’’ Sanders said. “Obviously, you don’t want to miss them, but I felt good.”

Glenn praised Sanders’ ability to overcome his poor camp and his first long kick of the season.

“If you look at our team in general, including myself, we have a team of men that has [gone] through some things, that have fought through some adversity,’’ Glenn said. “I’m attracted to people like that, because it’s not just the physical toughness, but the mental toughness that shows up.”

That’s what Glenn saw from Sanders on Sunday.

“He did a good job and I like the way he fought back and ended up making those field goals,’’ Glenn said.

And it was good enough to give him another week.

“I think it’s like anytime there’s competition,’’ said Sanders, who was signed and cut by the Giants earlier in the offseason. “It’s a good thing, no matter what position it is. … Nothing’s ever given, right? And everything’s earned.”

Rookie cornerback D’Angelo Ponds is expected to make his debut against the Packers after missing much of camp with a calf injury.

Asked if Ponds was “100 percent” healthy, Glenn said, “I don’t think anybody’s 100 percent, but he’s ready to go.”

The real test is when the second-round pick (50th overall) out of Indiana gets on the field against Green Bay.

Glenn said Ponds, since recovering from the injury, has looked good in practice and “understands exactly what he’s doing.”

Still, that’s not the same as facing Jordan Love and Co. in a real game.

“It’s just actually doing it,’’ Glenn said. “We’ll see how this week goes.”

Will McDonald (ankle), a surprising addition to Thursday’s injury report, was listed as questionable Friday and is expected to play Sunday, according to Glenn. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick is out with a groin injury suffered against Tennessee, as well as WR Omar Cooper Jr. (ankle).

With rain expected throughout the day Sunday, the Jets announced they will be providing ponchos upon entry to MetLife Stadium while supplies last.
