Javonte Williams and two of his Dallas Cowboys teammates were hit with fines by the NFL after the team’s Week 1 loss to the New York Giants.
Cowboys outside linebacker Donovan Ezeiruaku and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown also received fines from the NFL. Ezeiruaku was fined $11,941 for a facemask in the fourth quarter of the Giants matchup. Overshown was fined $9,527 for a late hit on quarterback Jaxson Dart in the second quarter.
Williams and Ezeiruaku will look to put the fines behind them when Dallas faces the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Overshown will miss the matchup after straining his hamstring against the Giants.
The NFL fined 20 players in Week 1. The Cowboys, Packers, Rams and 49ers had multiple players on the list.
