JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars have elevated QB Nick Mullens and LB Jalen McLeod to the active roster from the practice squad for tomorrow’s game, the team announced today.
Mullens saw limited action in relief of QB Trevor Lawrence once the Jaguars led the Cleveland Browns comfortably late in last week’s regular-season opener.
Mullens, 31, spent the 2025 season with Jacksonville as Lawrence’s backup after coming to the team from San Francisco, where he joined as an undrafted rookie in 2017.
McLeod, 24, spent the 2025 season on the injured reserve list. He was originally drafted by Jacksonville in the sixth round (194th overall) of the 2025 draft.
A Washington, D.C., native, McLeod attended Appalachian State (2020-22) and Auburn (2023-24), where he set career highs in 2024 in tackles (57), tackles for loss (13.5) and sacks (8.0) in 12 games.
