Bengals partner with Queen City Book Bank to support childhood literacy
CINCINNATI —
The Cincinnati Bengals have announced a new partnership to help children and promote childhood literacy.
The Bengals joined forces with the Queen City Book Bank to help put more books in the hands of kids around Cincinnati.
As part of the partnership, members of the Bengals visited Hays-Porter Elementary School to deliver books to students.
Tight end Jack Endries, wide receiver Dohnte Meyers, defensive end Cedric Johnson and long snapper William Wagner were among the players in attendance.
“Football is all about putting your team in the best position to succeed,” said Taylor Conklin, the Bengals’ director of community engagement. “We see that same opportunity when it comes to youth in our community. We want to help kids win on and off the field this season. Putting a great book in their hands helps them score a few extra touchdowns in the classroom. We are proud to partner with Queen City Book Bank and Hays-Porter to make a difference one book at a time.”
The goal of the partnership is to ensure that children have consistent access to books and the ability to learn and build home libraries.
