The injury to Caleb Williams has been the biggest talking point across the entire NFL over the last few days.
Chicago Bears fans were relieved to learn Williams had only suffered a minor hamstring injury following initial fears of something much more serious.
There is even a possibility that Williams could play on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite the positive news surrounding his injury woes, Williams has been roasted online for his emotional reaction as he was carted off the field at the weekend.
Although many have poked fun at the quarterback, Colin Cowherd is convinced this could be viewed as a positive for the Bears.

Colin Cowherd applauds Caleb Williams’ emotional Chicago Bears reaction
A number of NFL players have defended Williams after suggesting the general public do not know how the quarterback was feeling at the time.
“My take, as somebody who now lives in a great city, Chicago, is that he is not just about the Bears. The league said, ‘Okay, we’re going to pick two quarterbacks to play on Thanksgiving and Christmas: Josh Allen and Caleb.’ He is carrying the torch for the league, for Chicago, and for the Bears,’ Cowherd said.
“And he’s a kid. There is immense pressure on him. It’s like being on Broadway and you lose your voice before the second show on opening night. It is emotionally devastating. So, regarding his reaction, I’m like, ‘Guys, he’s an emotional kid’.”
“Caleb Williams is emotional but that is a good thing. It leads to some of his creativity, which leads to some of his brilliance as a playmaker on the field,” Danny Parkins replied.
It is apparent that the Bears have high aspirations for their 2026 season, which may largely be why Williams was so emotional on Sunday.
A promising 2025 season has set Chicago up for a big year, but the Bears now have to pull themselves back to a winning record after their defeat against the Minnesota Vikings.
How quickly Ben Johnson will rush Williams back into action remains to be seen. However, the Bears do have a big game coming up on Monday against the Eagles.
