The 2025 season was one to forget for the Chiefs, with Patrick Mahomes’ season-ending injury crushing their hopes of making it to another Super Bowl.
Following a productive offseason for the team, the Chiefs look like a force to be reckoned with again, despite having lost players like Trent McDuffie earlier in the year.
The Miami Dolphins are not expected to put up too much of a fight at the weekend against the Chiefs, but that will only provide Andy Reid’s team with another opportunity to impress Brady.

Kenneth Walker III has already proven to be an exciting offseason acquisition for the Chiefs after he departed the Seattle Seahawks.
The Chiefs have looked like a much more well-rounded offensive unit so far, which has certainly excited Brady.
“I think one thing that’s not only impressed me but should honestly scare the rest of the NFL is the Chiefs’ running game. That’s kind of been an afterthought, even in all their championship seasons. It really wasn’t a running team. It was a lot of passing the football, passing to Kelce, passing to Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins,” he said.
“Now, when you add this running game and you got Kenneth Walker running the way that he is, they’ve got to come down and try to tackle him. As soon as they do that, that exposes a lot of one-on-one opportunities from Mahomes, and he’s going to find those. I think this offence being able to run the ball becomes exponentially more explosive, and that should scare a lot of teams in the NFL.”
Through the opening two weeks, Walker has racked up 290 rushing yards and a touchdown, laying down a real marker for the Chiefs.
Walker’s ability from the backfield has proven invaluable for Mahomes as he continues to ease back into the NFL following his significant injury last season.
There is still a lot of football to be played this season, and a lot can change very quickly, but it seems as if the Chiefs have taken a significant step forward in the eyes of Brady.
