Long-time mascot for the Kansas City Chiefs, Dan Meers will give a presentation in Minot on Oct. 6.
The Minot Area Chamber EDC Women Connect team will host its fall signature event, “Courageous Leadership: Living a Life of Influence,” on Tuesday, Oct, 6, featuring motivational speaker, author and longtime Kansas City Chiefs mascot performer Dan Meers.
The event will focus on courage, leadership, resilience and the influence one person can have on others. All community members are invited to attend. The event will take place from 2-4 p.m. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.
For 35 years, Meers entertained fans as KC Wolf, the Kansas City Chiefs mascot. On Nov. 23, 2013, he survived a 75-foot fall while practicing a zip-line stunt at Arrowhead Stadium. He spent nine days in the hospital and faced a long recovery.
That experience reshaped his perspective on leadership, adversity and living a life of influence. During his Minot presentation, Meers will share lessons from his recovery and discuss how people can lead, serve and connect with others through life’s challenges.
