Immediately following the 2025 NFL Draft, all 32 teams got to work on securing the services of undrafted free agents. Signing UDFAs has become a fairly effective extension of the seventh round of the draft over the last few years, with teams often engaging in small bidding wars to sign the more appealing undrafted rookies.

In 2025, the Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Ravens invested the most in their UDFA classes. No team signed more UDFAs than Jacksonville’s 22, with the Vikings and Ravens one back at 21. That’s a function of roster space availability, to some extent. With teams limited to 90 roster spots, those teams had the most vacancies to fill after the draft.

In terms of financial investment, the Vikings doled out the most guaranteed money to UDFAs. Led by BYU LB Tyler Batty at $259,000, the Vikings spent $2.98 million in guarantees on their UDFA class. Carolina was next at $2.66 million, with Kansas City third at $2.62 million.

The Panthers wound up with three of the five highest guaranteed contract amounts for UDFAs, led by Bam Martin-Scott. Carolina gave the South Carolina LB $300,000, which is the most any UDFA player received across the league. New Panthers teammates, S Jack Harrison and DE Jared Henderson-Hunte, also bagged $300K, as did two Buccaneers UDFAs: safety Jared Roberts and OL Benjamin Chukwuma.

At the other end of the UDFA spectrum, the Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals signed the fewest players, all with seven. The Pittsburgh Steelers gave out the least amount of UDFA guaranteed money at just $172,000 for their 11 signees.
