From the archive: Watch Saints fans tailgate for historic Domecoming game
NEW ORLEANS —
Twenty years ago, the New Orleans Saints returned to the Superdome to face archrivals, the Atlanta Falcons, in a newly reopened stadium following the devastation from Hurricane Katrina.
On Sept. 25, 2006, WDSU was on the air for the entire day, marking the moment fans were welcomed back to cheer on the Saints.
Former WDSU reporter Heath Allen spoke with Saints fans who were tailgating ahead of the historic game against the Atlanta Falcons.
